South Littleton
Croft was appointed as contractor for extensive roofing works to this beautiful Grade II listed building. A temporary roof was erected before the coverings were removed from the roof. Carpentry repairs were carried out to the structure of the roof, valleys re-formed, and the roof re-covered using both salvaged and new Cotswold Stone tiles, clay tiles and slates. Lead slates, flashings, soakers and valleys were also replaced.
Conservation rooflights, cast iron guttering and insulation were installed, and further repairs were carried out to brick chimneys, dormers, leaded lights and lead ball finials. Decorations above eaves level completed the scheme
The dining room extension included substantial timberwork which was completed with a decoration package, each beam being treated with linseed oil to bring out the colour and grain of the wood.
